Youth Placemaking Balkans (YPB) aims to engage and empower youth across the Balkans by fostering active citizenship and civic participation through placemaking. By connecting sectors, people, and communities, YPB endeavors to create vibrant and healthier urban spaces. The project leverages the collective experiences from previous initiatives to develop a comprehensive approach to youth-led placemaking.

Target Groups
Primary: Youth aged 16-29, particularly those with limited opportunities.
Secondary: Civic organizations, public authorities, businesses, and NGOs involved in youth engagement and urban development.
Key Activities
Research: Exploration of the youth needs in public spaces across the partner countries and creating adapted to the youth needs resources
Capacity-Building Events: Workshops, focus groups, and structured dialogues to enhance youth skills in placemaking.
Youth-Led Placemaking Interventions: Local projects where youth lead the design and implementation of placemaking activities.
Regional Networking: Creating a network of youth placemakers across the Balkans for shared learning and support.
